Alberto states that since the advent of super lines, there have been no real mono braided fishing line knots and the common knots that everyone recommends are not enough.

Holding the loop and braid in your left hand, wrap the braid around the double line created by the mono with the loop.
Make 7 wraps, moving away from the loop.
Make 7 more wraps towards the loop, making each wrap on top of the previous wraps.
