Ingredients for Steamed Bonito Recipe

  • 2 large size bonito

  • 2 medium sized onions

  • 3 cloves of garlic

  • 1 teaspoon salt, black pepper, thyme and red pepper

  • 2 lemons

  • Half a tea glass of water

  • Half a tea glass of oil

  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil

  • 4 large tomatoes

  • Half a bunch of parsley

  • 3 green peppers

  • 2 bay leaves


How to Make Steamed Bonito Recipe?

  • To steam the bonito, first wash the fish, drain the water and put it in a bowl.

  • Let's add 4 tablespoons of olive oil, a teaspoon of thyme, red pepper, black pepper and salt and mix well. If you want, you can marinate the fish by keeping it for a few hours.

  • Let's peel the onions and chop them into white pieces.

  • Let's put oil in a suitable pan, add chopped garlic and onions and fry.

  • Let's cook by adding 2-3 grated tomatoes on the pink onions.

  • Add parsley to the boiling sauce and mix.

  • Let's arrange sliced bonitos on top of the sauce, and julienned green peppers on top of the bonitos. Let's arrange the lemon on top, sliced half a centimeter thick.

  • Let's put bay leaves on it and add half a tea glass of water.

  • You can bake it for 30 minutes on the middle shelf of the oven preheated to 200 C and serve.
