Carp Hunting with Bottom Fishing Rod

The carp hunt starts with the dough prepared at home. You can add vanilla, fruit essences, cornmeal and sweeteners to the dough to thoroughly feed the area you are going to hunt, and allow the odors to disperse in the water. In this way, the fish begin to gather around your fishing rod. If you are going to fish with dough, you must use a carp bow. You should tightly wrap the bow and optionally attach corn, worms or dough to the needles. You should throw the fishing line as far as possible, fix it to the rod or piece of wood, attach your bell and wait for the fish to hook up.

Since the carp is a timid fish, you should not pull the line quickly when it hits the hook. It is the best method to act by waiting for the fish to swallow the bait thoroughly.

Carp Hunting with Boili Ball

Boili balls are small balls of dough that are boiled and dried in the sun. Boiler balls, which have started to be used in our country, can be chosen according to your preference with many fruit flavored varieties. Boili balls act as a solid and non-breaking bait due to the recirculating action in the carp's mouth. Also, your chances of catching bigger prey increase as small fish cannot pick these hard balls.

While you are fishing with boili balls, you can start by fixing a lead, single black needle and boili ball to your needle that is suitable for the distance you will throw.

Carp Hunting with Worm

Red earthworm is one of the favorite baits of carp. Before you go fishing, you can hunt carp with the worms you collect from your garden or a humid area. You can also get worms from fish supply stores around most lakes and dams. In carp hunting with worms, other fish living in the area where you are fishing may also be interested in your fishing line, so it is possible to encounter surprise hunts.

Pay attention to the following tips for successful carp fishing.

  • Make sure that the odors are dispersed in the water with the ingredients you will add to the dough to thoroughly feed the area where you will hunt.

  • Adapt to the fishing conditions by choosing the bait (dough, corn or worm) you will use in carp fishing correctly.

  • Increase the chances of the fish getting close to your line by throwing your line as far away as possible.

  • Remember that carp are timid and wary; When you hit the fishing line, do not pull the line immediately and wait for the fish to swallow the bait.

  • You can increase your chances of catching big prey by using alternative baits such as the Boili ball.

  • Use more than one fishing rod: Starting with two rods can increase your chances of catching. However, some lakes do not allow more than two fishing rods and the ability to catch more than one fish at a time is required.

  • Machine matching: You must match the size of your machine to your fishing rod and fishing style. Generally, machines ranging from 6000 to 10000 can be used; 10000 will be enough for most waters.

  • Feed diversity: Carp respond to a wide variety of feeds. From natural baits such as insects, aquatic worms, crabs, mollusks, algae and other plant debris to homemade pulp baits, you can try.

  • Consider the weather conditions: Carp can be found at different depths depending on the weather and water temperature. On cloudy and windy days, carp may approach shallow waters; therefore it is important to adjust your hunting strategy according to the weather conditions.

  • Be patient: Fishing carp can take time and requires patience. Once you have found a suitable location, wait for the carp to approach your food and be careful not to make sudden movements.

Carp Hunting: Location and Timing

Carp prefer turbid waters and enjoy being in warmer water areas. You can increase your chances of finding carp by looking for murky waters with rich vegetation around the coastline, stagnant waters and side channels. The early hours of the morning are the best times for carp fishing. You can determine the correct position by paying attention to the fish movement along the riverbank.

Carp Hunting: Choosing the Right Bait

Carp fish are both carnivorous and herbivorous. This feature makes them easy to feed. Boiled foods are popular because of the fishmeal smell, which stimulates carp. Alternatively, sweet corn is an inexpensive and accessible bait that carp love. Because of their salty and sweet taste, carp often attack canned sweet corn.

Carp Hunting: Hunting Equipment

Carp have extraordinary eyesight. For this reason, it is recommended to use clothed or dark carp specific needles instead of bright and flashy needles. In addition, fishing equipment, called the rod chamber, reduces the vibration created by the movement of the line, preventing the carp from being aware of your presence.
