Fishing, Where and In Which Weather Is It Held? How to Choose a Feed?

Start by choosing a good pasture and planning for the target fish species. According to this plan, prepare your equipment and feed properly.

Weather

For a fisherman, the first thing to consider is the weather. Weather is an important factor when fishing on shore or by boat. We strongly recommend that you do not go fishing in weather conditions where there is a risk of heavy rain and lightning. If you are determined to go though, you should opt for carbon-free straws. For example, if you are going to hunt from the coast, when there is an easterly wind, you should choose your hunting area accordingly. Because fishing in the western direction of a cape that blocks the east wind will allow the fish that are protected from the current and wave to feed more comfortably. It is important to consider the weather during fishing. If there is a risk of rain, be sure to bring a rain jacket, boots and a hat. We recommend that you do not go fishing in weather with heavy rain and lightning risk. If you are determined to go though, you should opt for carbon-free straws. For example, if you're considering coastal fishing and the weather looks good, don't forget to factor in the wind from the sea. Thin and compatible equipment, low metal usage are important elements.

Pasture Selection

Before you go fishing, you should plan according to your target fish species. Considering the weather conditions, you should choose a hunting area that will not be challenging. Remember that choosing the right hunting ground will increase your chances of success. Once you find the hungry fish, other important factors may become irrelevant. When choosing a hunting area, you should head towards the waters preferred by the target fish.

For example, if you want to fish perch; Being in areas where it flows into the sea such as bays, harbors and rivers or creek mouths will increase your chances of finding fish. A mossy and pebbled seabed is a great choice for hunting success. When you meet these conditions, the most important issue you should pay attention to; Finding a good place to hide from the timid and cunning perch. You should be as quiet as possible and hunt before entering the water.

Feed Selection to Fishing

Batch selection is an important factor for fishing success. You can increase your fishing efficiency by using baits suitable for your target fish species. Experience and knowledge are of great importance in the selection of live bait, as in other areas. There are certain types of bait that some fish species particularly prefer. To briefly mention them:

In garfish, lambuka and barracuda: Mullet and aterina (silver) baby make an ideal live food especially for garfish. If you attach live bait to a two-meter body with a double needle without damaging it, you can catch beautiful garfish.

Bluefish (in a pod): These fish's favorite live bait is the small garfish. They can be fished both from the shore and from the boat with the long line method. They also show interest in small mullet and horse mackerel puppies.

Perch: Seabass can be hunted with a wide variety of baits, from crustaceans to mice. Successful hunts are usually made with live crab and live wolf. Also, baits such as horse mackerel, shrimp and squid can be attractive to sea bass.

Sea bream and Sand steenbras: These fish take great interest in live wolves. Particularly interested in sea bream, small sized crabs and live goats and mammon.

Yellowtail (lambfish): These fish are usually found in medium to deep waters. Their favorite live baits are saddled seabream, cuttlebone and squid. If you fish these live baits using lead or free swimming and there are fish in the area, you can make successful hunts.

Dentex, Red Seabream and Pink Dentex: These fish live in gravel and rocky areas and are bottom fish. Sinarit especially prefers mossy and grassland areas. While it can rarely be caught from the shore, you can hunt with cuttlefish or squid using a 1-1.5 meter long swivel and traveling hook attached to a heavy lead back during boat fishing.

Note: Although the live bait options above are common methods, it does not mean that you can be successful with these baits alone. If you are not getting results, constantly review your choices. By using more than one type of bait while fishing, you can increase your chances of appealing to different fish species.
