Pipeworms also have problems such as short-term use and not being able to keep them at home. Chicken meat is a very good feed considering the price and storage conditions. How to Prepare Chicken Meat for Fishing?

Where and how should we prepare the bait for fishing? In fishing, we can use every part of the chicken except the skin. Fish do not like it because the skin is very hard. Fish generally like fatty meat, so forage fish are chosen from oily fish such as sardines. For this, my advice is to use the thighs of the chicken. Chicken breast meat also works, but because it is lean, chicken thighs give more successful results in catching fish. It would be better to buy boneless breasts or thighs, as it will be difficult to remove the meat from the whole chicken.

You should prepare the chicken meat you buy according to the hunt you will make. If you are going to hunt from the shore, we cut the meat into half-inch-wide fillets and then cut it into cubes the size of the backgammon dice.


Let's come to an important point. Since the chicken meat is soft, it will fall off the fishing line at the first hit of the fish. To avoid this, you should salt the chicken. Salt the chopped chicken thoroughly using a tablespoon of salt per 250 g of meat. Make sure each piece of chicken comes into contact with the salt. Then place several layers of paper towels in the storage container. Place the chickens you salted in the storage container where we put paper towels. Salted chicken meat will leave some water, you need to lay a paper towel or napkin to absorb the water.


You can use the prepared chicken meat for a long time by keeping it in the freezer or freezer. Even if salted chicken meat is left outside for a short time, it will not deteriorate and will not smell.
