  • 1 kilogram of horse mackerel

  • 3/4 cup cornmeal

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • For frying: 1 glass of sunflower oil

How to Make Fried Horse Mackerel Recipe?

  1. Clean the horse mackerel by removing its belly and wash it with plenty of water. Sprinkle salt on the inside, make sure it is distributed evenly.

  2. Leave the fish in a large strainer to drain excess water.

  3. Pour the fine corn flour into a large plate. Coat the horse mackerels in corn flour and coat the front and back surfaces thoroughly. Be careful not to get too much corn flour inside.

  4. Heat the sunflower oil in a wide, not shallow fish pan.

  5. Start frying the fish, which have absorbed the salt and released excess water, by placing them neatly with their tails in the pan.

  6. Place the fish, which is well fried on both sides, on a serving plate lined with paper towels and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve hot.

You can serve it with lemon slices, shepherd's bread or potato salad as you wish.
