How to Cook Whiting?

Whiting can be cooked using frying, grilling and baking methods. Whiting becomes more delicious when marinated with various fish sauces. You should clean the whiting well before fried it. If you don't want to bother, you can have it cleaned by a fishmonger.

Ingredients for Fried Whiting Recipe

  • 1 kilo whiting

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • Juice of half a lemon

  • Half a tea glass of olive oil

  • 2 egg yolks

  • 1 glass of corn flour

  • 1 glass of wheat flour

  • Salt

  • Oil (1-2 tablespoons of butter optional)

How to Make Fried Whiting Recipe?

  1. Clean and wash the fish thoroughly and set aside until the water is completely drained.

  2. Soak the whiting in the mixture prepared with olive oil, garlic and lemon juice to marinate.

  3. Mix corn flour, wheat flour and salt in a bowl. Beat the egg yolks in a separate bowl.

  4. Put oil into the pan and heat it thoroughly.

  5. Fry the marinated fish by first coating it in the flour mixture and then in the egg.

  6. Just cook the whiting until it turns pink. It should not be fried too much.

  7. After cooking the fish, you can keep it on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Bon appetit :)
