Sea Bass Characteristics
The sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) is a wide-mouthed fish with two dorsal fins. Its gills have unique spines. The back of the sea bass is black-dark gray, the sides are silver, and the lower abdomen is yellowish white. Sea bass fish average 25-35 cm in length, but can grow up to 1 meter. The breeding season is between January and March in the Mediterranean.
Where Do Sea Bass Live?
